Change the rights of the login account to an account with fewer rights
By default, the login account has access to everything. Do you work on devices with multiple users who have different rights (such as a till)? Then the best practice is to create an additional login account with limited rights and use this to log in on devices where multiple users log in. This increases the security of your system and prevents employees from unintentionally gaining access to sensitive settings or data.
Follow the steps below and ensure you are logged in with a user who has the Owner (or Developer) rights profile.
- 1
In the menu, click on Employees (under Settings)
- 2
In the top right, click on the Add Employee button
- 3
Fill in the details
Enter the first name, last name and the email address you would like to use to log in (this can be a non-existent email address). Also select the location.
- 4
Select the function/role General login account (no rights)
- 5
Enter the desired password
- 6
Click on the Save Changes button
You can now log in to the desired device with the created email address and password. Subsequently, another employee must first be selected to use functions. By giving each user a PIN code, not everyone can use every role.
