Email address verification

7 min read·Updated 12/05/2026

By verifying the domain of your email address, your emails will be sent more effectively from PrismaNote. To do this, you add some DNS records to the domain with your hosting provider.

These are the steps:

  1. Click 'Shop settings' in the menu

  2. Make sure the correct email address is entered under 'Email address'.

Tip

Do you want to change the email address?

  1. Change the email address.

  2. An extra text field will then appear below it. Click 'Yes' here.

  3. Open your email and wait for an email from PrismaNote (also check your spam).

  4. Click the link in this email.

  5. Refresh the page in PrismaNote to check that the new email address remains.

Have you used the new email address before? Then you will not receive an email (step 3) and you can refresh the page immediately (step 5).

  1. Click the 'Verify' button behind the email address.

Now the following screen with data appears:

  1. Open a new tab in the browser and log in to the company where your website and email are registered (this is the company from which you receive an invoice for email).

  2. Open the screen with the DNS settings of the domain of the entered email address. For example, for the email address info@juwelierbos.nl that would be juwelierbos.nl.

  3. Add the records visible in step 3 in PrismaNote here.

The KEY also contains the domain. This is usually pre-filled, as in the example below. In that case, you only copy and paste the part before the domain name (.juwelierbos.nl in this case).

  1. All records added to the DNS settings? It may take some time (1 to 24 hours) for the DNS settings to be implemented.

Then open the PrismaNote tab and click the 'Verify' button in the step 3 screen.

  1. Then check if the label 'Approved' appears behind the email address.

At that moment, your emails will be better delivered to customers you send from PrismaNote.
