Quick buttons are the extra buttons in the cash register or on a repair / order project.

Create Quick Buttons

1. Click on ‘Shop settings’ in the menu

2. Click on the ‘Cash Register’ tab

3. Click or scroll to the ‘Quick Buttons’ section

4. Click on the ‘New’ button

5. A new screen will appear. Enter the product number you would like to select or use.

6. Click on the product that appears (and proceed to step 8) or click on the green button to create a new product (and proceed with step 7).

7. After clicking the green button, additional details must be entered. Enter:

  • Selling price of the product

  • Purchase price of the product

    • Dynamic: Purchase price is standard margin 2 and can be adjusted in the cash register under the 'More' button per transaction.

    • Static: Purchase price and margin can be set (and cannot be changed per transaction).

    • No profit: The purchase price is always the same as the selling price.

    • No purchase price: The purchase price is always 0.

  • 'This button is for' (Select the desired item group in which you want to track sales)

    • Stock: a product that is in stock. Then search and select the desired item group

    • Frequent repairs: Choose this option if it concerns a service and you want to show these sales in a separate item group (this is useful if you want to know specifically how much sales you generate through this button).

    • General repairs: Choose this option if you want to show these sales in the general item group for repairs.

    • Orders: Choose this option if you want to show these sales in the general item group for orders.

    • Other: Then search and select the desired item group.

Does the item group not yet exist for the 'Stock' or 'Other' option? Then also check the 'Create item group' checkbox. For example, if you want to display the sales through this button in a separate group, you can create the item group 'Battery change'. Do you want to put the sales of this button in the same group as the 'Repair' or 'Order' button at the top? Then select the 'General repairs' or 'Orders' option.

Then click on 'Next'.

8. In the last step, you can adjust the following data:

Quick button name: What text do you want to show on the quick button in the cash register?

Price: What price do you want to show on the quick button in the cash register (The price from the previous step is used on the receipt)?

Leave price field empty: By activating this switch, the price field will be left empty by default. This is useful for hotkeys where the price may vary per transaction.

Mode: The Normal option is a positive amount. The Return option makes it a negative amount.

Type: 'Normal' is selected by default. You can also change this to a 'Repair', 'Order', 'Gold purchase' or 'Gold sale'. When selected, a project will also be created directly under 'Services'.

Keyboard shortcut: Do you want to add the quick button directly to the transaction via a keyboard key when you are in the cash register?

Show as (not visible in image below): With 'Standard visible in the cash register', the button is always displayed at the bottom of the cash register. With the 'Visible for repairs and orders' option, the option is shown for repairs and orders. Read more about this in the manual Workshop function.
