PAY connection request

8 min read·Updated 12/05/2026

With PAY you can link pin transactions to the PrismaNote cash register. It is also possible to process webshop transactions via PAY (like Mollie), so that this cash flow comes from one party.

Some possibilities if you choose PAY:

  • Pin transactions directly linked to the cash register (Maestro, V-Pay, All credit cards)

  • Easily link online payments

  • Accept gift cards such as VVV, Fashion Cheque and Fashion Giftcard

Application process

Tip

It is important that we initiate the application for you, so that PAY directly configures the terminal with PrismaNote.

After approval, we will send an invitation for an account with PAY. By inviting you, you will receive a discount on the monthly fee that you would not receive if you create an account yourself.

As soon as the account has been created, documents must be provided to PAY. These include an extract from the Chamber of Commerce, proof of address (energy/telephone/internet bill or municipal bill), signatures of all UBOs (Ultimate Beneficial Owners) and confirmation of your account number (iDeal payment or photo of a bank card).

Due to money laundering, these documents must be submitted and approved before you receive the funds. Depending on the information you have readily available, the application can take 2 to 5 working days. Due to screening and the laws and regulations for payment processors, the application can take up to a week.

Payout speed

PAY pays out pin payments (Mastro/VPAY) 1 working day later. For credit cards, this takes a little longer because they first have to be processed by the companies.

A big difference with CCV is that PAY does not pay out on Saturdays, so you will receive payments from Friday to Sunday on Monday. We have already submitted a request to also make a payment on Friday evening / Saturday morning.

When the account is new with PAY, online payments will be released after 7 working days. This will become 1 working day after a while if no complaints or reports are received.

Cost overview

For using PAY.nl you pay different amounts. These are split into one-off costs, monthly costs and variable costs.

Leasing

Instead of buying a new pin terminal, it is also possible to lease one. This eliminates the monthly service costs because they are already included in the monthly amount. Trade-in is not possible with leasing.

36 months: €34.95 per month

24 months: €39.95 per month

12 months: €49.95 per month

PAY will invoice you directly for the costs. Normally, they withhold payments to settle outstanding invoices. You will therefore not receive an invoice from PrismaNote for this connection.

We would be happy to start the application for you. Because PrismaNote is a business partner of PAY, we can help you well with this and we have direct lines with various departments within PAY and as mentioned, you can get a discount on the monthly amount.

Refunds via PAY

Refunds via your webshop can be made on the day the payment was made. A refund is always processed directly to PAY, for the customer it can still take up to 3 days for the money to be returned (or payment obligation lapses in the case of afterpay.
