Set up item groups

Tip

Our advice is to divide item groups into Brand and Product Group or Brand and Material.

For example: (1) Kasius Earrings (2) Kasius Rings (3) Seiko Watches (4) Breitling Watches

What are item groups used for?

Item groups are used to group products for statistics and possibly for the webshop. Every product is always in an item group. Via the purchase order and on the product edit page, the product can be added to an item group.

Finding item groups and explanation of the overview page

In the menu on the left, click 'Item groups' to display the overview.

Explanation of the overview:

1: Delete item group

2: Edit item group

3: Merge item groups

Cash register ledger: The ledger account number of the sale for the accountant.

Purchase ledger: The ledger account number of the purchase for the accountant.

Changing an item group and explanation of the page

1. In the menu, click 'Item groups'

2. Click the pen icon for the item group to change it.

Explanation of the overview:

Show in assortment: Set this switch to 'Active' if you also want to show the item group under the filter 'Item groups' in 'Assortment'.

Creating item groups

1. In the menu, click 'Item groups'

  1. Click the 'Options' button in the top right.

3. Select the 'New item group' option

  1. Type the desired name in the search bar and click 'New item group'

5. A new page will appear. On the left side, select the correct revenue group .

6. Optional: on the right side, select the desired properties (this is only relevant if it is not filled in per product and all products in the item group have the same properties). Otherwise, this can be left as default.

7. Select the suppliers for this item group and enter their margin for this item group.

8. Click the 'Add' button
