Improve website speed
Website speed is important to serve the consumer well. In addition, it also affects ranking. That is why this is one of PrismaNote's most important themes for both system use and jeweler websites. Discover below what you can do yourself to make a page faster.
Resize and compress images before uploading them
By default, images you upload are already resized to the correct format. They are also compressed by default by up to 30% (without losing quality) and we use Lazy loading to guarantee better website speed. However, you can also improve this yourself if you change an image on the website. First, resize the images with these 2 tools before uploading them:
-
First, resize the image to a maximum of 1600 pixels wide via this website https://www.iloveimg.com/resize-image
-
Then compress the image via this link https://www.iloveimg.com/compress-image
Strive to upload images of a maximum of 300kb for large banners and other images a maximum of 150kb. An image of 1 MB or more is therefore much too large.
Keep the header and footer as empty as possible
Add as little code and widgets as possible to the top of the website (Header) and the bottom of the website (Footer). This is loaded for every page, so it affects the page speed of the website. It is therefore better to place an Instagram gallery or registration form on the About Us page than in the Header.
