How to handle old gift vouchers?

Suppose a customer has an old gift voucher worth 700 euros.

This voucher has not been imported into the system, so it is not recognised.

The product the customer wants to buy is 500 euros.

Instructions

1. Ring up the relevant product using the 'Stock' button.

2. Click a shortcut for the gift voucher.

It is best to use a separate shortcut for this. For example, 'old gift voucher'. This way, it will be displayed separately in the statistics. In this guide you can read how to manage shortcuts.

3. Change 'Normal' to 'Return' and enter the total amount of the old gift voucher (in the example € 700).

4. Create a new gift card with the remaining amount using the 'Gift Voucher' button at the top (in this example € 200).

5. Then click the 'Checkout' button.

You can then print or email the new gift card and receipt.
