Labels roll/label roll and ink roll replacement

In this article, we explain step by step how to replace a label roll and ink roll (carbonrol).

Follow the correct order to avoid errors or crooked labels.

Do you need a new label roll or ink ribbon? You can also order these from us.

Label roller replacement

1. Turn off the printer.

This prevents errors during replacement.

2. Open the printer valve.

With Zebra printers you fold the top up.

3. Remove the old label roll.

4. Place a new label role.

   • Make sure that the Printed side up is located.

   • The labels must between the (yellow) guides Lay down and roll smoothly.

5. Close the printer valve well.

6. Turn the printer back on.

7. Perform an alignment/calibration.

This way, the printer learns to recognize the size of the new role.

Ink roll (ribbon) replacement

1. Turn off the printer.

2. Open the printer.

3. Remove the ribbon used.

4. Place the new ribbon on the right holders:

   • On the Top role: empty winding coil.

   • On the Lower role: full ink roll.

5. Turn the ribbon tight So that there are no folds.

6. Connect the printer and turn it on.

7. Perform an alignment/calibration.

This way, the printer learns to recognize the size of the new role.
