Key differences between PrismaNote 1 and 2 after migration
Payment methods
By default, we add PIN and Cash payment methods (in addition to bank transfer). If you want to divide PIN into card types, we can create separate buttons for this.
In PrismaNote 1, you first pressed PIN and then the relevant card. Now, these are directly separate buttons or just PIN if you don't want to differentiate.

Returning a product
Are you manually returning a product? Instead of entering -1 for quantity, select the 'Return' option. The square will then turn red.
Refunding a transaction
When scanning a transaction for a return, you can select which product or products are being returned by ticking the box.
You can also adjust the amount to be refunded on the same screen.
Processing deposits for repairs and orders
For a deposit in PrismaNote 1, you enter the partial amount for the relevant payment method.
In PrismaNote 2, this is a separate field for the repair or order. You then click on the relevant payment method.
In PrismaNote 2, it is no longer possible to make a deposit for a product sold from stock.
This prevents incorrect rounding of amounts (for example, a product showing 0.99999 on return).
Booking in new products
In PrismaNote 1, you book in products by clicking 'Next' on the purchase order after adding all products.
In PrismaNote 2, you add products one by one to the purchase order, and the product editing page appears immediately after selection.

Redeeming a gift card
In PrismaNote 1, you could scan the gift voucher before clicking the 'Gift Card' button and then clicking it.
In PrismaNote 2, you can click the 'Voucher or loyalty points' button and then scan the Gift Card.
This makes it possible to redeem multiple gift cards on one transaction or to redeem a portion of the gift card.
Please note: a VVV card can be redeemed for a maximum of 50 euros per transaction (with PAY).
Processing discounts
In PrismaNote 1, you could click on the relevant discount option.
In PrismaNote 2, you click the button with the 'percentage sign', and there are multiple discount options.
You can also click the 'percentage sign' button on the right, next to the 'Voucher or loyalty points' button, to apply a discount to the entire transaction at once.
Unable to scan migrated transactions, but can select via transactions or a product
A migrated transaction cannot be scanned for returns. A product must be rung up for this.
The transaction can be looked up to reprint as a PDF. To reprint on the thermal receipt, you will be redirected to PrismaNote 1.
Processing costs
In PrismaNote 1, cash expenses were booked via the 'End of Day' page.
In PrismaNote 2, this is done directly from the till using the 'Costs' button.
Statistics export
In PrismaNote 2, you can export an end-of-day or statistics report as 'compact' or extended with transaction data.
This page also shows a breakdown by article group and/or revenue group. The transaction can also be opened directly from this page.
File upload / purchase order
In PrismaNote 1, a TXT invoice could be uploaded.
In PrismaNote 2, various types of invoices can be uploaded.
Checking prices and article groups then happens in separate steps.
This offers more flexibility to make the correct match with the database product.
However, the development team is working to simplify this process.
Customer page and Customer filters
In PrismaNote 1, the customer page loads as a new page.
In PrismaNote 2, this is a pop-up, allowing you to quickly return to the overview and retain filters.
It is also easier to search for a customer via the filter button.
Merging suppliers
In PrismaNote 2, you will receive a notification at the till if you sell a product from a supplier that has not been merged (not linked to the official supplier).
It is still possible to sell the product, but it is important to link all suppliers once, so that stock and sales lists are perfect.

Supplier page + Data sharing & Export
In PrismaNote 2, giving a supplier access to the stock and sales figures of their brands works slightly differently.

Repair filtering + export
In PrismaNote 1, the repair loads as a new page.
In PrismaNote 2, this is a pop-up, allowing you to quickly return to the overview and retain filters.
It is also easier to search or filter via the filter button. The filtered selection can also be exported.
Saving repair changes
In PrismaNote 1, a change is saved automatically. This makes loading take longer.
In PrismaNote 2, changes are saved by clicking the 'Save Changes' or 'Save and Close' button in the top right corner.
